We are delighted to be able to provide 4 pieces of adult gym equipment, one of which will be accessible, following a successful lottery bid. We have been awarded £4400 for our project, “Cawood Grows Strong Together”.
We shall add this money to a smaller grant of £1000, received earlier from North Yorkshire County Council and are hoping it can be installed by early summer in time for us to dedicate it as a commemoration of the upcoming Coronation. The new equipment will be sited at the Playing Fields.
For people of various abilities, all adults and children with an overall height greater than 1400mm will be welcome to use the apparatus, free of charge.
Additionally, using part of a grant received during Covid by the Playing Field Liaison Committee, we are installing a see saw at the Play Area.
A second toddler picnic table will shortly be installed, once our resident toddlers have decorated it.
