New Year’s Fireworks
The team of volunteers who have tirelessly provided the village with a firework display since the Millennium have decided to call it a day.
Annually, they did a fundraising quiz, spent much of New Year’s Eve day setting up the fireworks and in the evening letting them off safely and then a big chunk of New Year’s Day clearing up. Others helped by rattling buckets collecting donations on the evening.
The Parish Council underwrote the expenditure and the money raised partially re-imbursed some of the outlay.
