This September Mrs Walker’s new Y5/6 class took over the roles started so brilliantly last Easter by our very first Guardians. They haven’t let a rainy start deter them and have been busy painting new struts on the footbridge and clearing ivy. They used some of the ivy in the bug hotel.
To encourage insects and small mammals to safely over-winter, they have been building a bug hotel. It faces South so the hibernating insects can benefit from the Winter sun and has a mixture of potential habitats all in one place.
As the Y6 children get ready to leave primary years behind them, we sent them a certificate and message.
