Cawood Allotments were officially opened on 4th April 2009 and since then they have been totally transformed. The site consists of 44 plots some being subdivided into half size plots which at the time of writing are fully occupied.

Art Group Cawood Art Group meets on alternate Monday mornings from 10.00 to 12.00 in the Old Boys’ School.

We are a small friendly club and our programme includes themed painting days, workshops, demonstrations and outdoor sketching/painting in the summer months.

The Parish Council, sports clubs and Allotment Society form this committee. Parish Councillors act as  Wardens to help oversee the area and the Parish Council awards grants towards upkeep and maintenance and also pays for building insurances. Cawood Tennis Club is based at the Playing Fields and have three floodlit all weather hard courts, a practice wall and a clubhouse with changing facilities.
